First Snow!

Yardleyans were gifted with their first snow of the season this morning! How appropriate for us at the boutique when we just finished decorating the windows with our holiday lights and boughs! As we listen to holiday songs and design the rest of our Thanksgiving flower order that are about to go out the door, we are enjoying every snowflake that is ever so softly coming down on Main Street.

On this Thanksgiving Day, we want to thank all of our loyal clients as well as all of our Yardley family for making us feel so welcome here in our new home. If you already haven't done so, stop by the boutique and say hello! We always appreciate meeting new neighbors and friends! We'll be here until 4PM today! :)

Wreath-Decorating Workshop

Join us on Saturday, December 4th at 1-2:30PM at the boutique for a fun wreath decorating workshop! All the supplies will be provided for you to decorate a beautiful wreath to take home!Complimentary hot chocolate and cookies will be served as well! For all kids ages 1-92! Stick around to enjoy the annual Yardley Christmas Parade!

Wedding Invitations 101

Fall and winter months are very busy for us with clients who are planning their spring and summer weddings. Here is a general timeline of how things work at our boutique.

Step 1: Initial Consultation with Head Designer (approx 1hr appointment)
Over cups of tea, couples meet at the boutique with our head designer to discuss the details of their wedding invitations. While couples are encouraged to bring pictures of their inspirations, they are not obligated to do so since the meeting is all about discussing designs, printing and paper choices, and other various needs of the couples.

Step 2: Proposal
Within 24 hours, couples receive an electronic proposal of everything discussed during the consultation. Couples can review exactly what they ordered as well as an estimated cost of their order.

Step 3: Proofs
Once the couple has confirmed that they love the design and the price for their wedding invitation package, we immediately go into production with the proofs so that the couple can see and feel exactly what they are ordering before we produce 500 of them!

Step 4: Delivery
Depending on how intricate and how many invitations and other paper products the couple decides to order, the production process can take anywhere from 1 business day to 3 weeks. Upon completing the order, the client can feel free to pick up the order from the boutique or we can ship it to the clients anywhere in the U.S.

Premium Spathiphyllum Plants Are Here!

Petals and Paper now carries premium spathiphyllum plants! They are popular indoor house plants. Spathiphyllum cleans indoor air of many environmental contaminants, including benzene, formaldehyde, and other pollutants. These plants prefer shades and need little sunlight to thrive. It is watered approximately once a week. The soil is best left moist but only needs watering if the soil is dry. As Thanksgiving week is fast approaching, we thought we'd share with you our business hours for that week:

Sunday (11/28): Closed

During these days, there will only be pick-ups available. There will be no deliveries made from November 24-December 1. Deliveries will resume on December 2.
