Petals and Paper is excited to announce their first-ever basic floral design worshop at the Fairmount Art Center in Philadelphia this month! Grab a friend or two and make it a wonderful night out or give someone this gift of creativity! Floral design, like visual art involves a delicate balance of art elements and principals to arrive at a pleasing arrangement. Line, Form, Space, Texture and Color are the elements used based on the principals of balance, proportion, rhythm, contrast, harmony and unity; this is exactly the same in fine art! During this 3-hour workshop, we’ll provide all the materials you need to create your beautiful arrangements -- vases to work in, arranging foam, and all the fresh cut flowers! You will explore design and floral care and leave with a wonderful arrangement to brighten your own home or give as a gift to someone else! Explore your creative side and get into touch with nature! No experience or tools necessary! Everything will be provided!
